Chris Sligh's Word Records' debut, 'The Anatomy of Broken,' is an aptly titled collection of 14 songs that delves deep into the human condition and our profound need for a Savior. Co-produced with respected recording engineer, Steve Bishir, each song, written or co-written by Sligh, carries with it a different picture of brokenness and the resulting importance of extending compassion, mercy, and forgiveness to each other as people. 'The goal of what I wanted to do with this record is to communicate that it's okay to admit that we're fallen and broken, and if we weren't broken, we wouldn't need Christ,' Sligh explains.
